There's no better way to explore all the natural and cultural riches that Scotland and its islands have to offer - from the haunting skirl of the bagpipes to treasured traditions, connect with distinctive ways of daily life on the remote Scottish Isles and the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh… bygone days are present still, welcoming with breathtaking landscapes and gracious hospitality.
Our 11-day trip includes a 7-night cruise aboard the luxury small ship Le Laperouse, plus a choice of hotel stays in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Cruise to the celebrated Orkney and Shetland Islands, and the remote isles of Mull, Skye and Lewis; explore eclectic Edinburgh, the traditions of Scottish music and dance, and the Highlands' incredible scenery, with a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, a sea safari, and more.

Day 1 Glasgow, ScotlandArrive Glasgow

Tour begins 5:30 PM. A transfer is included from Glasgow International Airport to either the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel or AC Hotel Glasgow, both ideally located for exploring Scotland's largest city. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome reception and dinner at Òran Mór, a historic former church transformed into one of Glasgow's most distinctive cultural venues, where local music and Scottish hospitality set the tone for the journey ahead.

Discover Glasgow on a guided tour featuring many of the city's most notable landmarks, including George Square, Buchanan Street, Princes Square, Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow University, and Kelvingrove Gardens. Visit the renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, home to an impressive collection spanning art, history, and natural sciences. Enjoy free time for lunch and independent exploration before traveling to Greenock to embark your small ship. Settle in aboard and sail this evening for the Isle of Mull in Scotland's Inner Hebrides.

Arrive in colorful Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, where a choice of excursions introduces you to the island's natural beauty and heritage. Travel along the scenic coastline to Duart Castle, ancestral seat of Clan Maclean, dramatically perched above the Sound of Mull and rich with centuries of clan history. Alternatively, join a guided hike through Aros Park, a woodland landscape of fern-covered paths, waterfalls, and coastal views that showcases Mull's remarkable biodiversity. Return to the ship for lunch or continue exploring Tobermory independently. This evening, gather for the Captain's Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner before your ship sails onward.

Known in Gaelic as the "Isle of Mist," Skye is a land of dramatic mountains, windswept coastlines, and enduring legends. In Portree, choose from a variety of shore excursions. Explore iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most photographed landmarks, set amid spectacular Highland scenery. Visit Dunvegan Castle, ancestral home of Clan MacLeod for more than 800 years, and the Skye Museum of Island Life. Meet local residents during a visit to a working croft and learn about life on this remote island. Join a guided walk through Portree followed by a wildlife-focused harbor cruise in search of seals, sea eagles, and other marine life.
